Air Chief Marshal Pipoon Voravarnpricha, Managing Director, Thai Aviation Industry Co., Ltd., participated in discussions on defense industry cooperation between Thailand and France on July 8, 2024. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Suthin Klangsang, Minister of Defence, and Mr. Jean-Claude Poimbœuf, the French Ambassador to Thailand.

Over 300 attendees, including distinguished guests and representatives from more than 100 Thai and French companies, participated in the event held at the Ministry of Defence in Bangkok. The objective was to define strategies and exchange ideas to drive investment and build a network in the defense industry between Thailand and France, aligning with the Thai government's goal of enhancing the country's technological capabilities in security and self-sufficiency.

This initiative aims to reduce imports, facilitate technology transfer, and promote the export of domestically produced military equipment. The French delegation included 32 companies and 2 industry associations, while the Thai side had 48 companies from 2 associations and 3 industry associations participating.

Additionally, the company set up an exhibition booth at the event, which featured important activities such as a keynote speech by the Commander-in-Chief on "User Perspectives: Experiences with French Products and Procurement Strategies," investment promotion by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Board of Investment, an exhibition of capable Thai entrepreneurs, business matching, and visits to six private factories on July 9, 2024.
