Thai Aviation Industries Co., Ltd. (TAI) signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to enhance support capabilities for the maintenance and logistics of the T-50TH fighter and trainer aircraft. This MOU will develop maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for the RTAF's T-50TH aircraft. Air Chief Marshal Piboon Vorravanpreecha signed the MOU in collaboration with KAI on Friday, August 19, 2024, at TAI's headquarters in Don Mueang. This partnership aims to support the fighter and trainer aircraft operational capabilities effectively and increase operational readiness through the establishment of an MRO center for depot-level maintenance and upgrades. Additionally, both organizations will explore opportunities for further business collaboration to identify medium- and long-term cooperative plans such as studying the feasibility of establishing an MRO center in Asia.
